Highly caustic alkaline detergent

REMOVIL Liquid is a highly caustic liquid alkaline formulation suitable for cleaning closed lines in all sectors of the food and beverage bottling industry. It easily removes animal and vegetable fat residues, as well as proteins, oils, and generally all organic contaminants. REMOVIL Liquid contains penetrating components that enhance its alkaline cleaning action. Its formulation, rich in sequestering agents, eliminates the negative effects of medium-hard water (anti-re-deposition action). To optimize wash cycle results in certain sectors, it is recommended to alternate with a descaling acid phase (frequency to be determined).

How to use:

Use REMOVIL Liquid at concentrations between 0.8 and 3%, depending on the degree of
contamination. Like all caustic products, REMOVIL Liquid exerts its maximum activity at temperatures above 50°C. However, the formulation has demonstrated excellent detergent and descaling capabilities even at room temperature, particularly in the wine industry. Rinse with potable water until all traces of detergent are completely removed (check pH).

Areas of application:

• Alkaline detergent for closed circuits, tanks and piping, CIP installation with recovery or loss, heat exchangers (pasteurizers, skimmers, evaporators).
• Alkaline detergent in washing tunnel and/or immersion of molds, trays and various containers.
• Detergent for filling machines.

Formulation compatibility:

REMOVIL Liquid is compatible with most materials commonly found in the food industry when used according to the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use on aluminum, copper, galvanized iron, or surfaces treated with phenolic resins. If in doubt, test before use.

Handling and storage precautions:

• Keep the product away from extreme temperatures.
• Protect from frost: store at temperatures above 7°C.
• Consult the data and safety sheet.

Titration method:

• Sample size: 50 mL of detergent solution
• Indicator: phenolphthalein
• Titrating agent: 1N hydrochloric acid (HCl)
• % (v/v) Removil Liquid = mL titrant x 0.12
• % (m/m) Removil Liquid = mL titrant x 0,18
